Refund policy
WideSplit is sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt, charges your card, handles VAT and issues the invoice. Refunds are decided by us under this policy and paid out by Paddle to the payment method you used.
1. Try it first
Every feature of WideSplit is available in the free trial. Install it, split your screen, share a screen in a meeting, keep it for the whole trial. You do not need a card to try it, and we would rather you test it on your own Mac than buy and wonder.
2. Fourteen days, no questions asked
Ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason, and you get your money back. It makes no difference whether you activated the key or not. We do not ask why. Paddle returns the money to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
This is deliberately simpler than the law requires. We do not ask you to waive the statutory right of withdrawal, and the app never asks you to consent to losing it.
3. What happens to the app after a refund
The licence stops working. The app checks with the licence server once a day, so a refunded licence is switched off within a day. If the app cannot reach the server it keeps working for three more days before it stops, so a flaky connection never costs you your screens by accident. Returning to the full screen is never blocked by any of this.
4. After the 14 days
- It does not work on your Mac: write to us before you ask Paddle for anything. If we cannot make WideSplit work on your setup, we refund. Your statutory rights for defective digital content are not affected by this policy.
- Duplicate or accidental purchase: tell us and we refund the duplicate.
- Change of mind: outside the 14 days we do not refund for unused time or a Mac you no longer have.
5. If you buy a subscription
A subscription renews automatically. You can cancel at any time in the Paddle customer portal linked from your receipt, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next charge; the current period runs to its end and is not refunded in part.
6. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address you used at checkout, or reply to your Paddle receipt. Tell us the order number. Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank; a chargeback switches the key off the same way a refund does.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought.
Draft for legal review. One item is still to be confirmed before the first sale: the support address, for which a placeholder domain is used above.
